Transform Your Future with The Outdoor Learning School

Children participate in growing, harvesting, and preparing foods from the school gardens.  This program allows them to learn through play, pursue their own likes and interests, develop a sense of responsibilty for themselves and others, and explore independently all while using real life applications of their academics. We love integrating our Farm to School program in various daily activities as a way to emphasize the impact that Outdoor Learning has on students and teachers. Students thrive on the added responsibilities as they grow alongside our Farm to School Program by learning to use small garden tools (shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc) under direct supervision and even leading younger students in garden activities!

Why Farm to School Program?

 Setting Us Apart

Our Farm to School Program allows us to stand out from other education centers in the area. With this program, we offer increased access to not only food and agriculture education but also school gardens- enhancing the quality of our students' educational experience. This outdoor programming allows us to emphasize experiential learning opportunities, parent and community engagement, and a lifetime of health and wellness for our children, families, and caregivers involved.

Quality Outdoor Learning Spaces

As our Farm to School Program grows, so do our outdoor learning spaces. These spaces are high-quality, allowing us to have high-quality learning experiences within them. We are grateful for this growth as it gives us the opportunity to get more students (of all ages) outdoors, whether that be in the Greenhouse, Butterfly Garden, Vegetable Gardens, or Compost Center.  Familiarizing students with various outdoor learning spaces and gardening skills has had a positive impact on fostering independence, confidence, and social skills across all age groups and academic disciplines.
